How to lose weight fast - My 80 pounds Weight Loss Tips

Table Of contents:

My Weight Loss Journey

In today's article, we're going to discuss how to lose weight fast. I lost 80 lbs.

I've been able to keep it off for 3 years, but I'm going to show you what I did in the beginning of my journey to get fast results and to keep me motivated to lose at 80 lbs and keep it off for the 3 years now.

So, it's just a couple of tips I want to go over really fast with you guys. This article will not be long, but these um tips were very crucial. Sorry, these tips were very crucial to my weight loss journey, and I just want to share them with you guys. So, like always, let's get right to the point.

Tip 1: Meal Planning for Success

So, the first tip is to create a weekly food plan.
You need to know exactly what you're going to eat for the entire week. You need to know exactly what you're going to eat every single day, Monday through Friday, from your dinner to your snack to your lunch.

If you're going to do another snack dinner, how much water you're going to um drink if you're going to drink any. Te a full week's worth of list. Now, if you do not like to meal prep like I don't, I don't like meal puring. I can't eat something more than two days and I get like over it.

So just make sure for that week I'm going to put on the screen a perfect example. Make sure for that week that you have just those groceries.

So if you want to cook normally, I would cook, for example, if I did a shrimp salad I will make shrimp to last me for lunch for two days then the next day I will do like a chicken, you know grilled chicken for two days 'cause I know if I keep eating for four or five days I'm going to get tired, I'm going to get sick and then it's going to feel like I'm dieting and I'm going to quit.

So this was just my method making sure that I had one week's worth of food to cook what I had on that list and I did not if it wasn't on that list I didn't eat it.

This allowed me to stay consistent. This allowed me for one, I save money instead of just buying, you know going to the store and just buying all this random stuff stick to the script and I promise you it's going to work if it's not on the list for that day you do not eat it period. Point Blank okay so that is T um tip number one pretty much stick to the scpt script okay no extra eating okay that's tip number one let's go to tip number two.

Tip 2: Stop Overeating

Stop eating when you are full. No more overeating when you are full; you save it for later and go about your day. I don't care how much your body craves it, do not eat the food; save it for later. You're not starving yourself; once your body is satisfied, you're done. That's it, that's all. Okay, so that's tip number two: no more overeating. It is hurting your progress, hurting it.

Tip 3: Mindful Eating for Weight Loss.

Stop eating any calories; stop eating things that are low in protein, low in fiber, high in bad carbs, high in sugar. Eat intentionally; eat things that are low in sugar, high in protein, high in fiber, and have no bad carbs or little bad carbs, little processed foods. Eat things that are going to help you on your fitness journey, which is a high fiber, high protein diet is going to take your weight loss journey to the next level so eat intentionally.

Tip 4: Incorporate Regular Exercise

Moving your body more is the perfect weight loss duo. Eating less than what you're currently eating now and moving your body more than what you're currently doing now, those two together are going to take your body to the next level a lot faster than just doing working out or just eating properly.

You want to do them together. So when I first started to lose weight, it was 2020. Um, I just had a baby; it was a pandemic. I wasn't taking my son outside, and the gyms were closed.

So I would literally just walk him outside in terms of our parking lot, and I would just do some at-home workouts that I just knew from like high school or I would like YouTube something or TikTok something.

But I never had structure at all with working out because I've never been on workout girly, and I've always been like overweight.

So I had no idea what I was doing, but I knew I can walk. Now that's one of my biggest regrets is not having some type of routine and not lifting weights because I still don't have the body that I really wanted once I lost the 80 lbs because I didn't have the muscle to really pop my body out the way that I wanted.

Tip 5: Morning Elixir for Weight Loss

Going to be drinking this every single morning on an empty stomach. So you're going to do 6 oz of water, 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with the mother, a hint of cayenne pepper is going to make it a little spicy, and a half a lemon.

It's not going to taste that good, but it's amazing for your good. It's going to help you with bloating and it aids in weight loss. So drink that every single morning.

I was very consistent with drinking that when I first started my weight loss journey. That's going to take you to another level. Trust me, please be consistent with that.

Tip 6: Cut Sugary Drinks

Stop drinking sugary drinks. I was very good at this in the beginning. I used to always check the back of the labels of the drinks, and if it had anything more than 5 grams of sugar, I would not drink it at all. It was just way too much.

Even now, to this day, I really do not drink anything that has more than 5 grams of sugar. For one, it's just way too sweet for me now. But reduce your sugary drink intake dramatically; it's going to help you out so much.

Tip 7: Choose Healthier Condiments

Tip number seven, you're going to reduce your intake on condiments that are high in sugar and high in calories.

For example, if you want barbecue sauce and you want to do the Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce, they also have a Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce with no sugar.

So you want to pick that option. You're going to have to start looking at the labels and seeing how much sugars are in these sauces and how many calories, 'cause they do add up.

Also, do not drown your salads in ranch or whatever salad dressing you're using. Your salad should not be white. Okay, drizzle mix, that's it. You don't need it a lot. You just want your salad wet. You don't want to drown your salad. Okay, so don't overdo the salad dressing.

Tip 8: Honor Your Hunger Cues.

Tip number eight is understanding it is okay to eat only when you are hungry.
Some days you're going to want all your meals and all your snacks you have planned out, and then some days you're only going to want two meals and one snack. Both days are okay.

Do not force yourself to eat, but what you don't want to do is starve yourself. You never want to miss out on a meal because you're trying to save calories, right? All that's going to do is create a negative weight loss experience, and then you're going to gain the weight back, trust me.

So on the days that you eat only three times a day and the days that you eat only six times a day, as long as both days you're prioritizing protein and fibers and you're still eating real Whole Foods, you're going to be okay. Never starve yourself; eat the food. It's perfectly fine, just eat the healthier options.

Tip 9: Protein-Packed Breakfast

Starting your day off with a high, high protein meal. It's going to keep you full longer. It was a staple when I first started. I do it now to this day.

You want to make sure that you're eating protein in the morning. It's going to keep you full. So just carbs are not going to do it, just fiber is not going to do it. Eat you some protein, please, trust me.

Tip 10: Boost Gut Health with Tea

Last tip, drink ginger and mint tea every single day.
Trust me, it's amazing for your skin, amazing for your gut. You can drink it multiple times a day, or you can just drink it once today, but drink it after a meal, and you're going to feel great right after. Trust me.

So that's it, you guys. That's all my tips that I did, especially in the beginning of my weight loss journey that helped me see results fast, that kept me motivated to lose the 80 lbs, and now we're 3 years after. Okay, so the goal is to start seeing results as soon as you can, that way you can stay motivated to continue to go. So hopeful.
